Towing Power
All three engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and the option for either rear or all-wheel drive capabilities, with varying towing capacities:
- With the 5.3-liter engine and rear-wheel drive system, the Tahoe has a maximum towing capacity of 8,400 pounds.
- The enhanced 6.2-liter engine drops towing capacity only slightly to 8,300 pounds.
- The diesel engine is capable of towing 8,200 pounds.
The addition of all-wheel drive reduces each of these figures by approximately 200 pounds. The optional advanced trailering system has four trailer views, customized trailer profiles, a pre-departure checklist, and trailer tire pressure and temperature monitoring.
